So you’re outraged about Peanut the Squirrel? Good, so are we

In October of 2024, an unsuspecting pet owner was shocked to find a convoy of government vehicles descending on his property to conduct an invasive 5 hour raid of his home. The government came to kill, but it was no terrorist they were after. It was Peanut, his pet squirrel. In the aftermath of this vulgar display of power, both Peanut and his buddy, Fred the raccoon, were dead, executed without due process by the government of the state of New York. The American people, along with outraged citizens from all over the world, raised their infuriated voices in one unified battle cry for justice. Did they not know that the government has been doing this to wolfdog owners all along? As it turns out, the majority of the American public, in fact, had no idea that our beloved pets were being summarily executed on a whim, under the guise of “rabies testing” and without probable cause or due process.

It’s an old story and a current story, it goes like this….

A Dad is watching cartoons with his children, their two wolfdogs napping on the couch while Mom makes sandwiches in the kitchen. The serene moment is shattered by the sound of violent pounding on the door. Dad jumps up and snatches the door open. “Search warrant, search warrant” the men shout as they file furiously into the home. The alarmed dogs are barking, the kids start crying, Mom runs into the room screaming “what's happening?” As the armed men push past Dad, he instinctively moves to protect his family by blocking their path. The officers slam Dad into the floor, one of the wolfdogs lunges to protect his owner “BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG” the shots ring out in a moment of chaos and bloodshed. “We’re here for rabies testing” one of the officers announces. The shocked and bewildered family stare at their dead dog on the living room floor while the children weep. “Why didn’t you just say that” the angry father shouts, unaware that a dog has to be dead to be tested for rabies. The officer explains that to be tested for rabies, the dog must first be killed and decapitated. It’s head will then be sent to a laboratory for testing. The mom screams “we have their rabies vaccine records!” It doesn’t matter because the government doesn’t accept rabies vaccinations in wolfdogs; they legally require wolfdog owners to get rabies vaccines for their dogs, but they don’t accept them. An officer starts dragging the dead body of the innocent pet away while another officer explains to the family that he is going to kill their other wolfdog, too. The family helplessly pleads for the life of their pet. “She hasn’t done anything, our other dog didn’t do anything.” Another officer walks past the family with a snare in hand. The crying children shout “don’t kill Sasha, please don’t hurt her, please, please.” The officer catches Sasha in the snare and drags her into the living room screaming, choking, gasping for air. She’s hauled through the living room and out the door while the other officers hold the frantic family back. The horrified parents watch in disbelief as their sweet and loving Sasha is loaded into the truck to be taken to her place of execution. Sasha turns back with one last pleading glance at her family before the convoy rolls away. The air is silent and still, except for the gurgling cries of the children. “They didn’t do anything.”

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. This unconstitutional travesty has unfolded in every state in the United States. But why? It comes down to political and scientific corruption. The word “wolfdog” is not on the rabies vaccine label. This point has been weaponized against wolfdogs by various groups that simply have personal opinions against wolfdog ownership. Peta, the Humane Society, even the American Veterinary Medical Association (also known as AVMA) have weaponized this detail to do harm to innocent wolfdogs based on nothing more than their personal feelings, not anything closely resembling science. AVMA has stood firm in their position to oppose proper vaccine labeling based on their personal belief that YOU should not be allowed to own a pet that they don’t approve of. The rabies vaccine manufacturers themselves have stated that they will not put wolfdog on the label because they are opposed to wolfdog ownership, not due to scientific reasons. Many representatives of the manufacturers have also made comments implying that they fear retaliation from the aforementioned groups if they were to properly label the vaccine. Of all the groups engaging in scientific corruption to harm the wolfdogs, my personal belief is that AVMA is, by far, the most sinister.

AVMA is included in the Veterinarians oath, and their track record for violating their own oath seems to be limitless. Lets look at the oath.

“I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of livestock resources, the promotion of public health and the advancement of medical knowledge”

Now lets look at how their actions hold up to that oath.

Protection of animal health- They are opposed to proper labeling of the rabies vaccine due to their belief that you should not be allowed to own a wolfdog, putting wolfdogs in direct and deliberate jeopardy of contracting the rabies virus. In addition to jeopardizing the lives of wolfdogs, they are also jeopardizing the life of every dog because the rabies vaccine is not 100% effective. The more unvaccinated dogs that are out there, the more the virus will spread. Your domestic dogs are also in jeopardy.

The relief of animal suffering- AVMA, by their action of fighting against proper labeling, is directly complicit in causing suffering and violent death of wolfdogs who haven’t done anything wrong but are slaughtered anyway under the pretense of “rabies testing.”

Promotion of public health- Yes, AVMA is also putting YOU in jeopardy of contracting the rabies virus yourself by deliberately and dishonestly limiting rabies vaccination.

Advancement of medical knowledge- This one is a painful blow to AVMA’s credibility. They have been fighting for 30 years to prevent a vaccine from being properly labeled in accordance with known science and medical knowledge. In 1994, AVMA published an article in their own journal stating “It’s reasonable to assume that the use of canine rabies vaccine in wolves or wolfdogs could provide some degree of immune response. In fact many zoological parks vaccinate susceptible mammals, especially carnivores, for rabies.” Those words from AVMA’s own mouth, 30 years ago. This is in addition to the knowledge that many states and countries are using rabies vaccine bait blocks, dropped into forests by air, to eradicate the rabies virus in those regions altogether. AVMA is critically aware that Finland eradicated the rabies virus from their country in 1991 using rabies vaccine bait blocks. No, every mammal in the forest was not subject to clinical trials because Finland wasn’t playing political games. It is my opinion that AVMA is deliberately holding back scientific and medical knowledge for the purpose of harming wolfdogs.

As you can see, there is not a single portion of the Veterinarians Oath that AVMA has not deliberately violated and they do it all in the name of harming wolfdogs so that YOU won't own a pet they don’t think you should have.

The people wanted the reason, they wanted to know why Peanut the Squirrel, Fred the raccoon and so many innocent wolfdogs who did no wrong were brutally killed. Now you know. It’s about scientific corruption done in the name of infringing on the rights of the people. The fight for the rabies vaccine is a long and complex history that I will be covering in a series of articles. For today, I would like all of you to ask yourselves, even if you don’t own a wolfdog, where will you draw the line when it comes to allowing government, political and scientific corruption to take away the people's right to due process, equal protections under the law, unlawful search and seizure and, dare I say, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? I hope you will join us in drawing the line right here.

There will be more articles to come, and in the very near future, we will begin email campaigns, boycott campaigns, calls for officials to step down and a plethora of protest strategies to fight back and save the lives of our American Wolfdogs. If you were outraged for Peanut and Fred, we ask you to be outraged for us as well.
